Well after arriving on Saturday, settling in-greeting everyone else of the board that was arriving early-we decided to go out to get some lunch. We went to a place called sticky fingers -
Brandi and her boys and I went. Everyone else was? not really sure where they were at !
Sticky fingers has a lot of BBQ, chicken, turkey, beef, pork, and I believe some sea food, but not much.
I got the chicken. You get a plate of about 3 kinds of meat, or as in my case, chicken cooked three different ways!
This is Brandi with her one of her sons...
BBQ sauce-well at this restaurant you have about 5 kinds to choose from!
This is me, and this is me in the photo below...
Later that night, we went out for dinner. It was a late dinner, and actually the place was closing not long after we arrived, but the waiter was great in accommodating us.
Brandi, Lori Lloyd, Brandis boys, and Kim and her two children and myself ate at Logans.
I drove and so did Brandi. Well Kim was with me, and one time I turned left out of a gas station, turning onto what I thought was the lane for the direction I was heading...there was this wonderful divider with trees and flowers in the middle of this 6 land highway, which I just thought was the edge of the 3 lane highway. Wrong. I found myself driving the wrong direction in the oncoming traffic of 3 lanes. Kim yelled to 'jump the curb' which would have torn out the bottom of the car completely, because it was not just a small curb, remember it had trees and shrubs and flowers, and was about a foot high of cement edging!
I decided to turn from the inner land (which I was using for the outer lane) across 2 other lanes of traffic -going left- and back into the gas station area. We made it. But I have to say, our blood pressure was up and our hearts were beating pretty fast!
well here we are having fun at the restaurant!
