California 2012 part 6 and final!

Ok, the rest of the week-we had pedicures  (something I never get to do) and also had my fingernails done...again, something I never get to do, had henna party,  we did each other, so just messed around with that.  Had a dinner out at a really nice restaurant  that you had to wait for a long time for a table, but it was worth the wait!

coming home from the spa, the weather was getting bad, but need sky shots. Also, the traffic, here it is ---california traffic! Not as bad as I thought it could be, but I guess this was not very bad.  I was told it can get much worse!

then we had a skit preformed for us!  Funny!

on the way to the Avocado house for breakfast....at a traffic light and I said hey! Say Cheese, and they are just so photogenic!

They give you little flip flops to wear as the nails dry

California 2012-part 5

The following day, we went to a spa....all I can say is .....ahhhhhhhh....so relaxing....this, I would fly out for once a month if I had the money!  (we need one like this back here!-Problem, it would not be open as much due to our winters)

a hot tub---luxury!   this was inside, first you had a sauna to go into, then this, then you went out side where there was a mud bath, and a sauna for baking that mud on to cleanse the pores, then a mineral bath, then many pools and hot tubs. There was also salt water pools.  One pool was only a few inches deep ---just enough to float in, and enjoy the sun!

entrance to the indoor showers, sauna, and indoor hot-tub.  Men had their area, and women had theirs.

enjoying the indoor sauna, while asking the OBGYN who blessed us with attending our spa day, a lot of questions! Now that, is a working day for me---getting to ask her questions, yet enjoying the day at a spa!

the mud area

see the pile of mud in the middle?  You put that all over you, and then got out and go to the oven...and bake it on!

the 'oven' where you bake the mud on, is to the left, the right is like a cave, that has showers in it to rinse off the mud. The soap provided is herbal, and smelled so good!

more showers to wash off the mud

the mineral springs....together for a 'conference' on Midwifery...love it!

more mineral springs, in the back ground is a regular pool

the pool on the right, is a bit warmer, and the pool on the left is cold. You in the warm pool for a few minutes then get out and get into the cold pool, shocks the system, its suppose to be healthy.  You do several rounds of this, we did it...and screamed.  the funny thing was, after about 3 rounds, it felt not as cold!
The rest of the photos are just nice photos of the spa

So a full day at the spa, then back to the birth center.

California 2012 ---part 4

Next day:   We had a day up in the mountains, we traveled to a couple of spots that are pretty popular and well known-Lake arrowhead and big bear
Here are some photos of those areas.
